Police chase leads to arrest

A short chase by police and deputies in Long Prairie led to the arrest of Nelson Valdez-Rodriguez.
According to the Todd County Sheriff’s Office, Valdez-Rodriguez failed to stop after deputies attempted to pull him over for speeding and driving in the opposite lane within the City of Long Prairie on March 5.
A Todd County Sheriff’s Deputy conducted a pursuit intervention maneuver and stopped the vehicle on First Avenue North near the Cenex gas station.
Valdez-Rodriguez was subsequently arrested and booked for DWI and fleeing in a motor vehicle.
