A work session was held on Wednesday, February 8, 2023. The work session was called to order by Chairperson Michael Collins at 4:00 p.m. in the Osakis Public School Board Room. Board members present:  Michael Collins, Greg Faber, Corey Goodwin, Becky Hensley, Jeff Kalpin, Amy Weisser and Superintendent Randal Bergquist. Also in attendance were Brad Hoffarth, Shad Schmidt, Justin Dahlheimer, Larry Bomstad, Preston Euerle and Paul Youngquist.
It was moved by Faber, seconded by Hensley, to approve the agenda. The motion carried unanimously.

The regular meeting of the school board was called to order by Chairperson Michael Collins. The following members were present:  Michael Collins, Greg Faber, Corey Goodwin, Jeff Kalpin and Amy Weisser. Also in attendance were Brad Hoffarth, Shad Schmidt, Justin Dahlheimer, Becky Kraenow, Travis Gulbrandson, Chad Gulbranson, Dan Wessel, Amanda Tegels, Allison Vogel, Scott Ellefson, Hailey Nierling, Jon Ries, Molly Swenstad, Jody Bender, Shelia Bolstad, Wes Smith and Stephanie Finnegan.
It was moved by Goodwin, seconded by Kalpin, to approve the agenda with additions. The motion carried unanimously.

It was moved by Weisser, seconded by Faber, to approve the following general consent items: the minutes of the January 9, 2023  regular meeting; the bills in the amount of $28,194.18 check numbers 69565-69607; hand payables in the amount of $253,906.41 check numbers 69420-69564; wire transfers in the amount of $675,767.50, the Revolving Fund in the amount of $1,620.00 check numbers 11347-11356 and the student activity account fund in the amount of $34,573.92 check numbers 7786-7822. The board acknowledged receiving the treasurer’s report. The motion carried 4-0, with Goodwin abstaining.
It was moved by Weisser, seconded by Faber, to approve the following personnel consent items: approve the following resignation: Clayton Thieschafer, Custodial Aide, Erica Ronsberg, Music/Leap teacher; approve the hiring of the following positions:  Olivia Loesch, Head Golf Coach, at per Master Agreement amount of $4,876, Jacob Rademacher, Jr. High Baseball Coach, at per Master Agreement amount of $2,841, Raymond Ostendorf, Custodial Aide, at $18.00 per hour; approve the following leave of absence: Taylor Winberg, High School Interventionist; approve the following increase in hours of Brittany Hanson, paraprofessional, additional 15 minutes per day, Heather Marcyes, paraprofessional, additional 15.5 hours per week, Marie Spoden, paraprofessional, additional 6.84 hours per week. The motion carried unanimously.
New Business: 
It was moved by Kalpin, seconded by Goodwin, to approve the Acceptance of Gift Resolution. The motion carried unanimously.
It was moved by Weisser, seconded by Kalpin, to approve the committee appointments made by the Chairperson. The motion carried unanimously.
It was moved by Goodwin, seconded by Faber, to allow the Central Lakes Cruzers to use the Athletic Complex parking lot on July 8, 2023 for their Car Show. The motion carried unanimously.
It was moved by Weisser, seconded by Goodwin, to approve the MSHSL Form B2 Resolution. The motion carried unanimously.
It was moved by Kalpin, seconded by Faber, to approve increasing the substitute teacher pay to $150 per day. The motion carried unanimously.
It was moved by Weisser, seconded by Goodwin, to approve submitting an RFP (request for proposal) for a food service company. The motion carried unanimously.
It was moved by Faber, seconded by Goodwin, to approve a contract for facilities planning services with RA Morton and Paul Youngquist, Inc. The motion carried unanimously. 
It was moved by Weisser, seconded by Kalpin, to adjourn the meeting. The motion carried unanimously.

A School Board Superintendent Search was held on Friday, March 3, 2023. The session was called to order by Chairperson Michael Collins, at 9:00 a.m. in the Osakis Public School Board Room. Board members present:  Michael Collins, Greg Faber, Corey Goodwin, Becky Hensley, Jeff Kalpin, and Amy Weisser.
Interviewed, discussed and decided on a candidate.
Adjournment at 5:25 p.m.
