The Long Prairie City Council met in special session at City Hall, at 8:00 am., Thursday May 16th, 2024, Mayor David Wright called the meeting to order with the following present: Council members Jim Kreemer, Lilah Gripne, Clint Krueger, and JoAnn Schroeder. Candace Bruder was also present.
Council member Gripne motioned Kreemer seconded to approve the agenda as presented for the Special Council Meeting. Motion Carried Unanimously.
(New Business)
The city council interviewed three candidates for the Deputy Clerk position. The candidates that were interviewed were Kathleen Martin, Katrina Scheve, and Michelle Potts.
After the interviews, the council reviewed and discussed the candidates.
Council member Schroeder motioned seconded by Krueger to hire Katrina Scheve for the Deputy Clerk Position. Roll Call Vote: Yes: Gripne, Shroeder, Krueger, Wright, No: Kreemer. Motion Carried
The council reviewed job descriptions from David Drown Associates. No formal motion was made, but at this time the job descriptions for the city administration positions will remain the same as they currently are until all positions are filled and probationary periods are completed.
With no further business, council Gripne motion Kreemer seconded to adjourn the meeting at 1:32 pm. Motion carried unanimously.
